Farewell Tributes to our Greyhounds
A place to remember our departed companions
Sadly we lost Ronan suddenly on the 20th March, he will be forever in our hearts. A loving boy that was always happy to give out cuddles to anyone at Pets at
Home Gillingham when attending Meets and Greets with his friends Erin and Storm.
Run free Ronan over the Rainbow bridge with your mate Storm.
Storm 24th Jun 2003 - 17th January 2016
Ronan 18th October 2004 - 20th March 2016

ALFIE - PERIMETER May 2003 - 14th December 2015
Charlene Chorus Girl July 2002 - 9th November 2015
Unfortunately Storm had to leave us very unexpexectedly to go to Rainbow bridge after being diagnosed with a tumor of the spine.
Going to miss our cheeky boy. Especially being woken up every morning with his happy tail banging on the wall.

He loved his job at the Pets at Home, Gillingham awareness days and everyone that met him loved him and wanted to take him home.
Going to miss you big fella. Sleep tight Xxx

Toni and Dean
Our first greyhound. Little Miss Bossy Boots. Always kept her boys angel Louie, angel Wesley and Storm in line. Charlene, you were one of a kind and we will miss you and love you forever. Xxx love mum, dad and storm.
It is with broken hearts that we write to inform you that our beloved Alfie(formely Perimeter+) passed away on Monday. having retired from a very promising career due to a racing injury, and more recently suffering from a serious back problems, he became less mobile, and was on strict no exercise instructions from the vet.

A true gentlemen who adopred us as his family seven years ago, he was never phased by anything, and put up with being bossed about by both Millie and more recently by Cushty. We will miss him talking to us when he wanted his walk, and certainly miss "the paw" when he felt we had not tickled his tummy for long enough.

No more pain, and rest in peace Alfie. Our Boo Boy will always be in our hearts

Everyone at Canterbury RGT sends Lindsay and Bill their condolences for April
who gained her angel wings yesterday.  Sending big hugs to Stacey too who is
probably missing her furry sister
APRIL
Roy Crossed Rainbow Bridge the 13th June 2017
Roy was a long term resident at Rosedale kennels who was doing so well in overcoming his problems. All the supporters and friends of Canterbury Retired Greyhound Trust will miss him but during his life. Brian and the staff, and supporters, did all they could to make his life a happy one with outings, walks and fuss.

LIZZIE
15 Sept 2005 To 27 August 2017

R.I.P Lizzie, your old family didn't want you anymore so you joined our pack in March 2017. We loved you from the minute we saw you. Just after leaving the house for our walk this morning you started screaming and couldn't weight bear on your front left leg. I rushed you to the vets & whilst we were waiting your wrist started to swell. Your leg was xrayed, it was broken. Bone cancer has struck again. Going to miss you my beautiful cheeky chatter box.

What a lovely gentle girl, a wonderful nine years we had with her. Travelled everywhere we went and will be sadly missed, thanks for all the lovely times you gave us.

Our Gorgeous girl crossed Rainbow Bridge to be with Ronan and her other friends. We had wonderful times together, she was a star at Pets at Home and a superb example of the breed. So sadly missed

BIlly Bob       March 2018

BillyBob was a handsome young 4-year-old lad who had been with us around a month when he was suddenly taken ill.
Despite much care from Brian and the kennels staff and the interventions of the vets, including surgery, it became clear over a few weeks that BillyBob had multiple health issues which could not be resolved.
As a result it was decided that the kindest thing to do for him was to say goodbye to him
Harry              March 2018
Harry was a lovely boy of around 4 ½ who very sadly had just come back to us at the kennels due to a sad change in his family’s personal circumstances
Due to the love and attention given to him in his original home, he soon caught the eye of a new family and was due to go home with them.
Very sadly just a few days before leaving us he was struck down with a medical problem which left him paralysed and we had to say goodbye to him too

In a lovely gesture, the people who were going to adopt Harry decided to take another dog home to love, for which we are very grateful
